Inputs and outputs, binary and analogue
The Milan drive advanced is equipped with inputs for non-fieldbus compatible sensors and outputs to which indicators, for example, can be connected.
All inputs and outputs:
- are freely programmable,
- can be assigned to individual driving data records, and
- come with PLC functionality.
| Inputs - outputs | Description | Example assignment |
| 4 freely programmable digital inputs | 24 VDC galvanically isolated | - Limit switch left
- Limit switch right
- Quickstop, e.g., Emergency-stop
- a freely programmable output
- a freely programmable input
|
| 1 analogue input (option) | bipolar, – 10 V to + 10 V | - Potentiometer for
speed limitation or nominal output speed or torque limitation or nominal torque
|
| 4 freely programmable digital outputs | - 1 relay output 30 VDC / 1 A
- 3 opto-isolator 20 VDC / 20 mA
| - Target reached

Encoder input
An external encoder (incremental position transducer) can be connected to this input to perform e.g. the following applications: setpoint by external master.
The position control is then performed in compliance with the position signal communicated by the master.
Fan connection
To ensure full performance at high ambient temperatures, the Milan drive advanced is equipped with a 24 VDC input to allow for the connection of a fan.
