Monitoring

#138884

The Milan drive advanced is equipped with extensive monitoring functions and status signals.

Basically, faults are distinguished by an immediate shut-down of the drive and warnings, that merely generate a signal.

If the control is operated via Profibus DP or CAN-Open, all faults and warning signals can be transmitted separately.

Warnings

The warning is often considered as a preliminary stage of a fault.

If, e.g. the motor temperature rises over 130 °C, a warning signal is generated. Upon exceeding 140 °C, the drive is switched off.

  • DC-link circuit lower than 220 V
  • Brake voltage lower than 22 V or higher than 26 V
  • Motor temperature higher than 130 ºC
  • Electronic temperature higher than 70 ºC
  • Contouring error
  • Derating

Faults

The immediate switch off in the event of a fault prevents the Milan drive advanced from being damaged.

The various diagnosis possibilities allow a quick location and elimination of the fault.

  • DC-link circuit lower than 180 V or higher than 400 V
  • Brake voltage lower than 20 V or higher than 28 V
  • Motor temperature higher than 140 ºC
  • Electronics temperature higher than 75 ºC
  • Quickstop command is available
  • Drive blocked
